Daughters Of Eve
Ancient myths from judaism, christianity, greek mythology and more, describe women as dangerous, seducing, manipulative, maneuvering and tricky. As a whole, women in religion are defined by their relations to the man or by their sexuality and as ones who's actions are of catastrophic consequences. These religious stories are at the base of western culture in which most women representations are of women who's sexuality acts as a tool with a purpose of serving economic needs of corporations and companies- something most reflected in magazines, commercials and porn.
The project incorporates many of such stories, brings up questions regarding the place of women in the world today and throughout recent history and examines the woman's archetype in the western world, which is created as a result of these myths and stories floating around in the human collective consciousness.
The projects includes the illustration which is 1.50x3.70 meters and a booklet containing the original text of each story.
